An impact is any change to the environment, whether adverse or beneficial, wholly or partially resulting from an organization's activities, products, or services, such as landfill depletion, ecological damage, air pollution, habitat alteration, etc. Validate a list of impacts on the Potential Environmental Impacts without Safeguards form and associate impacts with environmental aspects on the Entity Aspects form.
For each impact, equivalent entries in different languages can be defined. For example, a "Dust" impact in Spanish, "Polvo", and Dutch, "Stof", could be specified. When localization has been implemented, the Culture setting assigned to a user determines which value is displayed in field lists on Essential forms. Enter the corresponding impacts and associate each one with the appropriate language in the Language Dependent Potential Environmental Impact w/o Safeguards section.
