The majority of words and phrases within Essential have been made available for translation and Custom Localization. However, some resources are required system resources and must remain static. The list below includes a brief description of the types of read-only Sphera-provided translated values. Additional information is provided in the Language Pack Installation Instructions release document.
Tokenized values are messages the application recognizes as needing to be replaced by dynamically generated values. For example, "Account will expire in {0} days." The zero and brackets are replaced with the actual number of days before expiration.
The majority of reports are available for translation; generally, calculated text fields cannot be translated.
Data column names are used in some messages when database columns are being validated. For example, the REPORT_BY column in the VLD_INCIDENT table may be a required field, which if left empty when submitting a form, would need to alert the user of this requirement.
Custom Localization does not apply to the Save, Copy, Cancel, etc. buttons displayed in the Navigation Bar or adjacent to line items.
Tip: The names of actual pages (not form/window titles) have
not been localized. As a result, Custom Localization does not apply. This
enhancement will be scheduled for a future release. The page names displayed
in the Modules and Pages section
on the Custom Localization form
are based on the logged-in user's culture.
