With the Essential Chemical Inventory™ module, you will know the amounts and locations of all materials you have on hand at any given time. The module gives you two important options for tracking your material inventory—Inventory Transactions and Inventory Estimates..
To maintain the most detail for your material inventory, use Inventory Transactions to keep track of the inventory of a material within a storage facility. This is useful for SARA reporting, SVT reporting, and purposes outside the Chemical Inventory module, such as air emissions modeling.
If you are not concerned with detailed tracking of inventory transactions that occur at your facility, use Inventory Estimates reporting. When you use Inventory Estimates reporting, you are estimating the amount of a material in a storage area as of a given date. This eliminates the need to enter detailed inventory transaction information at your facility.
After you have imported and set up data in the Chemical Inventory module, you can generate SARA 311, 312 (Tier One and Two), REACH, and Inventory Balance reports.
