On the Process Areas form, set up groups of process units for reporting and internal tracking. These groups are independent of any production units and emission units, so a process unit can belong to one or more groups at the same time.
Your process unit areas could be physical locations, such as all of the process units in a plant area, or conceptual, such as all of the process units that were recently installed. You must also designate a type for the process unit area. For physical locations, you might designate a building or a room. For conceptual groups, you might designate a date range over which the process units were installed.
Process unit areas can also be used to enter internal plant IDs for your process units if you assign one process unit to one process unit area. Before establishing process unit areas, validate your area types on the Process Unit Area Types form.
