On the Business Unit form, enter names of business units, which are categories that group related MSDSs. For example, a business unit may be established for MSDSs that documents paint-related products. Assign one or more business units to an MSDS on the MSDS Information form before it is published. Then use these business units as criteria for printing or publishing multiple revisions of MSDSs. Business units can save time when updating or printing a series of related MSDSs.
For each business unit name, equivalent entries in different languages can be defined. For example, an "Air Quality" unit in French, "Qualité Aérienne", could be specified. When localization has been implemented, the Culture setting assigned to a user determines which value is displayed in field lists on Essential forms. Enter the corresponding business units and associate each one with the appropriate language in the Language Dependent Business Units section.
Note:
Business units are only applicable to the MSDS module.
