Case Templates

On the Case Template validation form, verify the email content for case review notifications. The email content contains static text and tags, or placeholders, for the case's variable information. A link to run the Compliance Summary Report is also included as a tag. The static text can be edited and new text can be added to the template.

Equivalent entries in different languages can also be defined for the case template name and email content. When localization has been implemented, the Culture setting assigned to a user determines which values are displayed in for case review notifications. Enter the corresponding translation information for the template name and email content and associate each one with the appropriate language in the Language Values section.

Template Placeholders

The Case Review Notification template contains the following placeholders for the email's variable information:

The CASE_GRID placeholder consists of the case title and status, as well as the latest corrective action proposed completion date. The report link provides access to the Compliance Summary Report only; no other report can be substituted. All placeholders must appear, as is, and in English in the template.

To edit the case template

  1. Click Data Entry > Validation > Case Template in the Navigation Tree.

    The Case Template list appears.

  2. Click the Template Name link to open the Case Template form.

  3. Edit the text in the Template field.

  4. Expand the Language Values section, when necessary, to add the source in different languages. Otherwise, skip to step 8.

  5. Click Add Language Value and select a Language from the list.

  6. Enter the Template Name for the language selected.

  7. Copy the template text and paste it in the Template field in the Language Values section.

  8. Change the static text from English to the selected language. The placeholders must appear as is and remain in English.

  9. Click Save.

    The translation information is displayed as a line item in the Language Values section. Edit existing translation information using the buttons adjacent to the line item.

  10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 to add the template in other languages.

  11. Click the Save button on the Case Template form.
