Enter or update large amounts of similar monitoring data collected during any type of run on the Update Monitoring Data form. For example, the same technician may have monitored 1,000 components and his/her name needs to be associated with each reading. Or, the monitor date of 100 components that were visually inspected needs to be documented. The Update Monitoring Data form is also useful:
To enter monitoring data that is the same for a group of components, then focus on entering just those values that are unique on the Monitoring Data form.
If you are not receiving monitoring data from a data logger. Select the fields to be updated in the Replacement Fields and Values section and specify the new value for each one. For example, enter the identification number of the instrument used to analyze a group of components. Choose to update all the tags in a monitoring run or a identity a specific group of tags, e.g., all components in a particular area. Build a new Tag Filter query or use an existing one that selects the component group requiring the update.
To replace monitoring data
for a group of components
Click Data Entry
> Monitoring Data> Update Monitoring Data in the Navigation Tree.
The Update Monitoring Data
form is displayed.
Select an Entity
Name from the list.
If the appropriate entity is not listed, click the Ellipsis
button and add it on the Enterprise
Entity form.
Select a monitor run from the list for the Run ID field.
Click either the Add Monitoring Data for Tags Due to be Monitored or Update Existing Monitoring Data option for the global update.
Select the Replacement Fields and Values options by clicking the appropriate check boxes and entering the value in the corresponding field.
Follow the guidelines below to specify the components affected by the update:
Click the Select All Tags in the Enterprise Entity and Run option to update all components in the specified entity and monitor run.
Click the Select Specific Tags in Enterprise Entity and Run option and build or open an existing Tag Filter query to filter the group of applicable components.
Click the Add/Update
Monitoring Data button to replace existing data with the new
values specified.
