Process Unit Move/Copy Wizards

Four wizards are available to copy and move process units:

Both simple wizards provide a 2-step procedure where the process unit emission models, parameter results, and process unit maximum potential emission models associated with the source process unit are also moved or can be optionally copied to the new process unit. To expedite data entry for your new process units, use the Process Unit form to set up a "template" that reflects the specifications of a standard process unit. Then use the Simple Process Unit Copy wizard to copy the template configuration to new process units at your facility.

Both advanced wizards allow you to establish the move/copy configuration before actually executing the move/copy process. For instance, you can establish target process unit links or specify which source properties, operating statuses, production units, process areas, and emission units are moved/copied to the target process unit.

During the move process using either the simple or advanced wizard, the current process unit record is updated with an inactive date equal to the current date, the inactive flag and moved flag are set, and a unique ID is generated with a random GUID. A new process unit record is created with an effective date equal to the current date and the same GUID is used for the unique ID. This unique ID can be used to associate the process units when the name of the moved process unit has been changed. The Copy/Move section on the Process Unit form displays a history of moved process units. A link to old process units is available for review purposes.

Note:  Any reference documents associated with the source process unit in the References section and the Document Links section are automatically moved/copied to the target process unit.

Advanced Process Unit Move/Copy Wizard

There are a possible 22 steps available in each Advanced Process Unit wizard. Refer to Advanced Process Unit Move/Copy Wizard Steps for details. Nine of the steps apply to emission models and will only be displayed if the process unit is associated with active emission model scenarios. Consequently, the wizard provides 13 steps when there are no active emission model scenarios and 22 steps when there are.

Each wizard contains two panels; the left panel lists the steps and the right panel contains forms for setting up the move/copy configuration. To navigate through the wizard, click the step title in the left panel or use the Next and Previous buttons in the right panel. The Next/Previous navigation option automatically skips over the steps with no records; however, the form for each step can be accessed by clicking the step title.
